It is important to be careful while trying to apply eye cream. The other day I happened to get the cream too close to my eyes, and when I rubbed my finger close to my eyes, it ended up getting in a little bit and stinging. I have found that the most effective way to get rid of the initial sting is not to put eye drops in your eyes! Just go to the tap, and from there put your eyes underneath the faucet and apply cold water (so as not to burn the cornea). I would highly suggest flushing your eyes for up to thirty seconds so as to prevent any damage. Anyways, I just needed to write that because of my own stupidity.
Anyone applying eye cream shouldn’t have any problem if they are careful. What I typically do when I am applying eye cream is to take a little and put it on my finger. It is best to run in circles underneath the eye, and be careful not to get it close to the actual eyelid. I have noticed that when I take an extra thirty seconds to actually apply the cream, it helps me to avoid an extra 10 minutes of pain and running around from my own mistakes.
